Verizon Open Innovation: Design JAM!

I bet spending 48 hours during Halloween weekend to come up with an AI Creation is how you wish you spent your weekend....

Friday 10/27 - Sunday 10/29

Me and my team 'Digital Ties' spent most of our waking hours brainstorming a concept to answer one of these 3 charges. By Sunday we had to present with 10-12 slides and show a 90 second video explaining our design concept.

Step 1: Brainstorming

The process took the longest. We wrote down traditional and alternative ways to discover content. After much conversation, discussion, and disputing we settled on focusing on the frequency, movement. I was pretty adamant about NOT creating an app or needing a screen to discover new content. We were encouraged by a mentor to look at how a small digital AI can influence the larger Analogue world. As a team we agreed that we wanted our focus to be on the influence that our AI would have on the analogue world and not necessarily on collecting digital content. Another mentor encouraged to dive more into the features of the AI, how would the AI process this data? He encouraged us to consider making an AI that focused on not just the hard data, but on the patterns and rhythms within the hard data.

Step 2: Concept Statement

"Create an AI based system which recognizes and analyses information rhythm fingerprints in the analog world in a non-intrusive way and uses them to generate content that has useful relevant applications in the physical world." -Milan | Song | Shristi
